Tolerances for Domino XL skew

Was using my Domino XL to create a longer mortise with multiple plunges, and noticed that the fence is slightly skewed such that there is a height difference between the left and right side of the mortise.  Difference is small, b/w .2-.3mm in the wider setting.  I've noticed that when the fence is unlocked, it does rock back and forth slightly, but I'm unsure whether this is just a normal looseness to allow frictionless travel up and down -- certainly there is no movement once the fence is locked in.  But it seems that its natural lock down position is what produces that skew.  I repeated the operation multiple times in different configurations and am consistently getting the skew.  I'm wondering if the amount of skew I'm getting is within the range of what others get with their machines?

The one impact it has had in building is that dry fitting can be very difficult, and I usually have to sand down the dominos a bit so that I can later pry apart the pieces.  I have no such difficulties with the DF500.  Otherwise, I have not done much precision joinery so far with the XL, so I don't have any instances where it has affected the quality of my joinery.

Please try to set the fence height while the fence is in the storage position, only then set the fence angle.

Helped me with that problem, in case it dosn't work for you then you should send the machine in for service.

That's how I normally set it.  Trying the other way didn't make a difference either.

Regarding dry fitting: a quick oven or microwave treatment of dominos will dry them up, reducing their thickness a little, which helps with dry fitting - while removing the potential pitfall of accidently gluing in sanded ones.
