I don't think this has been carried widely in the USA yet.  I had a customer bring it to my attention back in September and I brought over a couple for them in Anthracite.  I have just a couple in my store that are available.

To be honest I've not put my hands on it myself to look at it.  I like the idea of multiple layers of tools, for me, I'm more into fashioning my own internal foam or holders.

Hmm yes, it used to be you needed an Iranian or Chinese proxy to not be able to view half the web. Anything political and ze Germans can't see it. But this nonsense with American sites not serving EU visitors makes no sense. But that is in line with these cookie rules here, so..

It does make sense to them. Because the European rules make little sense. If those American sites do not plan to serve Europeans, why open themselves up to potential penalisation from the European commission?

Care to explain what 'cookie walled' is?

A ‘cookie wall’ is where a website makes it a requirement for a user to consent to being tracked in order to access the site.

I believe these are being made illegal, as they go against the intent of the regulations. I think the original idea was that users would be allowed to opt out of tracking, but due to poorly drafted regulations, many sites have simply forced users to accept in order get past the home page. This isn’t ‘opting out’ in any sensible interpretation of the phrase, but is (currently) allowed.

Aha, I get it. And that's indeed the problem, you have to consent to the cookies or you can't use the site. So everybody just clicks "Agree" automatically when these annoying pop-ups appear.

Even bigger problem is, cookie tracking was the main thing 10 years ago, but now they have so much more sophisticated tracking methods available, and they're all on the hosting servers, not on your local device. There are servers that track every webiste you visit and track every click on every link you make. And then the buggers sell this data off to other buggers.
