Hello.  I would like to see a top that would allow the conversion of a MFT-Kapex table to the height and size of a MFT-basic table.  I have an MFT-Kapex that I no longer use as I bought the Kapex stand.  I would now like to use the MFT-Kapex now as a MFT-basic table.  Therefore, I would like to see a conversion kit that would have the rails, dimensions of  the MFT-basic and raised to the height of the MFT-basic.  I know I could make something, but why make it when I can buy it from Festool?!

Lets see, you'd need a new top, new rails and new legs.

That would mean an entirely new table.  Which they sell.  And you can buy today.

So what are you looking for that would be cheaper than or easier than that given we know that a collection of parts from a manufacturer is always more expensive than buying the entire item assembled!

Just curious how you are thinking about this.

The two tables are different sizes so there is no modification that will change the Kapex table to a MFT/Basic.

If you are just talking about the height, couldn't you just get the standard legs from EKAT or are there other differences?

The table is not as deep, so the legs wouldn't work. The legs are joined in pairs, not singles.

I don't want new legs.  I want a new full-sized top with rails that fits on top of the MFT-Kapex table and makes up for the difference in height.  Then, when it is on, it is basically a MFT/basic and when removed, it is back to the MFT/Kapex.

Like others have said... The doesn't exist. I would just make something to suit your needs. I would pick which avenue is most desirable and drive that direction.

Cheers. Bryan.
