Track Saw Magic: Table Top

This is a table top that I made with some extra oak flooring from a job I was on.  You can see how I used the ts55 to achieve all the different lines.  I use it as a tv table, so I built a black base out of MDF using the track saw and kreg jig.

I have to give credit to festool's golden boy Jory Brigham.  His 3 piece conference table was my inspiration.

Welcome to the forum!  [smile]

Nice. Sharp looking design!

Seth

Slick, great thing to do with the left over flooring that we all have lying around. Maybe I'll try one in maple. Thanks for posting.

Hey, Welcome to the FOG!  And, thanks for posting the photos.  Nice build - some good ideas to use!

The hardest part was trying to avoid putting nails from the flooring gun in the lines I needed to cut with the track saw.  I hit one unfortunately, it cut right through the nail but the blade wasnt ever the same again.  Had to be replaced.

Looking good, and upcycling materials that may have found the dumpster, it's an allround winning combo'.  [thumbs up] I am fond of doing that too.
+ a [welcome] from me.

Rob.

Very cool design.  And a great use for leftover materials.

I assume the beer bottle in several of the pics was intended to give us all a scale of reference for its size?  [wink]
