Not that I would do this but what stops someone from buying a tool, sending in a nasty tool and get the promotion $.
Then return the tool, do they ask for their promo money back?

This can be done legit like you don't really like the tool (and had intended to keep it) or just to be nasty and intentionally do it to get a free promo.

The 4-6 week delay in receiving your rebate to ensure a return did not occur.

I think that they wait to send the $100 card until after the 30 day trial period.

Got mine today (10/9).  The e-mail looked odd at first because it’s from a third party, not Festool USA.
