I've been working on this property on and off doing various projects for a few years it's not listed but full of traditional features.
It's a lovely big family home with its own Tower etc.
As each room is worked on we have been replacing the single glazed sash and case windows with new double glazed sash & case with modern seals etc.
The new windows are softwood frames and sashes with hardwood cill.
Each room has the traditional internal window shutters but they have all been nailed closed in the past.
It's a case of removing the window and internal joinery and replacing like for like. Rehanging the shutters and in some we form storage under the cill.
The windows are finished by hand in the shop and the internals are painted after we have replaced / repaired and put back.
I've posted a couple of picks of various stages and some of finished rooms.

Been there done that. Lot of work eh. What seals are you using ?
Nice work.

Seals are aquamac to horizontals (cill, head etc)
And exitex brush to verticals.
All seals are concealed.
Thanks for the nice comments
