TRC3 charger not working

Hi all
I have a TRC3 charger and it's just showing red and not charging my batteries
The batteries and charger are not too hot which is what the manual says is wrong
I have 5 batteries and they are all saying the same thing when hooked to charger
Any advice would be great

Does it always show red or only when mounting a pack? Did you power-cycle the charger?

Lastly: do you insert the packs fully (so they click in)? When I got a new one a while ago I first thought it defective as of this, it needed way more force than the old one to seat the packs...

There is no light on until I put a battery in
And yes it is in all the way to a click
How do you power-cycle the charger?

I think he means to unplug the charger without a battery on it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in.  Basically let it lose all power so it resets/restarts.

The light on the charger should be yellow without a pack connected, as it isn't (additional to showing permanent non-blinking red with a connected pack) it sounds like a fried electronics board to me - time for a trip through service.
