I got this YouTube video in an email from FastCap.  It shows an interesting concept for a workbench that lifts out of the way when not in use.  Thought I'd share it with the group.  Mike A.

very cools, can also use that table surface with a jigsaw.

100% going to steal the winch idea to store wood up in the ceiling joists of my shop without having to carry them up. Love it!

Several people have made similar lifting platforms on other forums. The best price on that winch is from Harbor Freight - www.harborfreight.com. Northern Tool sells the same winch, but for quite a bit more $$$.

Here's a 25% off coupon that unfortunately expires tomorrow:

I'll see if I can find one that lasts a little longer.

I think Harbor Freight almost always has winches on some kind of special.  Best way to find out about Harbor Freight sales is to sign up for their emails.  I'm always getting their latest flyers that way.  They also usually have a great price on the casters erock used in building his Sys-Ports.

As long as the sale isn't a 'Super Coupon' item, you can take the 25% off the sale price. I've done that a few times!

Great idea for space savings. I would like to have the pattern for that sheet lifter. That works slick.

That would be great, I could park in the garage.......  if it weren't for the cabinet saw with it's 50" fence sitting right there in the middle.  Any way to lift a 560lb cabinet saw up and out of the way?

But it is a cool deal.  Now.  How about rigging it to LIFT THE CHRISTMAS BOXES UP TO THE ATTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!  A combo dumb waiter/work bench.  Might require some framing and drywall work but it would be awesome.

This is something that I think about every year at this time, but have never gotten around to building. I think that needs to change - soon!
