I saw that you can use the collins coping foot on the trion and i was wondering how much trouble it is to switch between the original base and the foot. Anyone have much hands on with this?

It has been a few months but I do not remember any big problems. There is some shim that comes with the Collins foot. It's been a while. It does a good job and you get what you need with the foot. There are two shims that come with the Collins foot and you use both the best I can remember, but it is fast and easy. Less than five minutes.  After you cut a few it gets easy.  I think Festool blades are better than Bosh, but in this case Collins recommends Bosh T 244D. For the Collins foot use I think this is best. It is a six tooth blade and very narrow gullet.
Gary Katz has a tape on conquering crown moulding and in this tape he brings in Collins to do a demo with the foot. If you do much crown moulding I would get the tape. It is filled with many good ideas for crown.  Wisdom and knowledge is worth more than gold and silver. :)
