I bought the complete Triton Workcentre setup for my garage shop before I decided to make a shop in the basement. This included the TWX7 table, the saw insert, router table insert, and TRA001 router. My criteria for selecting the Triton set was price, compact storage, ease of setup, and repeatability. I managed to realize three of the four.
After using the saw and router table inserts, I would never consider using them for anything more than job site tools. The concept is nice and the inserts are easy to change, but the system lacks the ability to produce repeatable cuts from one setup to the next. The attachment for the rip fence and T-track for the miter gauge are attached to the main table, not the inserts.
No matter how careful I was, there was always a slight difference in the alignment of the inserts between changes. This meant I had to spend a lot of time making practice cuts to dial in the rip fence for the saw. Using a crosscut sled was not practical because I could never get the inserts back in the exact position.
If you lived closer to me, I would make you a ridiculous deal on my Triton Workcentre. It is gathering dust and, with the exception of the TRA001, will likely never be used again.
