I just received my new TS 55 and was checking it out.  I noticed that the saw can angle past 45 degrees.  There is no mark for that but it looks like it would be a degree past 45.  For a 45 degree cut, should I have it set with the arrow pointing to 45 or is it such that the stop is the real 45 degrees?

Thanks,

John

I would set it at (pointing to ) the mark.  Always good to check to make sure it is correct as Alan. I  venture that the extra room before it hits the stop is to allow for adjustment  if the bevel scale is off.

Mine does that and I use to tilt it back slightly so it was dead on the mark did to bevel cuts put them together and it was out of square.  I tried again letting it drop pass e 45mark and it was square.

I have never got round at setting mine so it points on the mark but I know I gotta let it drop to where it sits so it's fine for me ain't used my TS for any other angles so dont bother me.
