TS 55 REQ impressive!

I am relatively new to Festool - it all started about 4-5 months ago with the CXS set (a common occurrence from what I have been reading here on the FOG  [big grin]). I was impressed with my next purchase - CT26 + Kapex - I know some complain about this or that with the Kapex, but I have found it to be a wonderful upgrade from my 25 yr old Makita which was a dust generator with little equal in my basement shop - the Kapex leaves only the smallest amount of dust and I have yet to add a ZCI and fence. This led to my next upgrade which was the TS 55 which I had a chance to use for the first time just yesterday breaking down some cabinet grade plywood. I have never seen such a perfect edge - even from my table saw with a premium blade. I can easily see where you could possibly do all cabinet work with this saw - and it's so much safer which is a big concern of mine as I get older (67 now). Oh and the dust collection - wow - I had to call my wife down to watch (yes, she was also impressed.) This alone will be a major time saver - I was using a PC saw boss to do this sort of thing and it would take 30 min to clean everything up. I will shortly begin my next project - a cherry dresser where I hope to use the domino for the first time.

So I think I'm hooked on Festool. I don't know if this is the place to say it, but I have to give Tool Nuts a big shout out for their excellent service and quick delivery (the TS 55 & Domino 500 was delivered less than 24 hours from my order.)

It's a slippery slope but a fun one!
