TS-75 EQ tracksaw in combo with CMS Table insert- Riving Knife Problems

Hello.  I've been using the TS-75 EQ Tracksaw in combination with the CMS-TS 75 table insert, which I brought over from Europe as it is not available in North America.
This way I flip the saw upside down in the CMS table and have a usable table saw, which comes in handy when on-site.
However, the riving knife that comes with the insert plate, which has to get switched out with the retractable riving knife that comes with the saw every time you change application, is more than a little tricky to remove from the saw.
Sometimes literally 20 minutes of jiggling the thing until it releases.
That's a little frustrating when trying to get things done.
Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks
Adam

If you want to send me your CMS insert, I'll mess with it for a few months :)

Just messin!  You may want to source out some of the members on the other side of the sun like jmb or any of his "crew" lol

Are we ever going to get that CMS table and insert over here?  I sure could use it in my very small shop.

Seth?

I don't foresee us getting the TS module any time soon, if ever.

Using the TS module with your CMS in North America will void your warranty.

Warranty on what?  The CMS or the TS75 or both?

Anyway, the riving knife doesn't' t know where it is being used and should work properly.

If and when I ever purchase a CMS, it will be because I can use my TS75 and my jigsaw in it in it and to heck with  the warranty.

Hey Adam
Are you pulling on the very end of the riving knife after you loosen the screw to pull it out? This might skew the knife relative to the slot it is fastened in, making it harder to pull out. Try grabbing it closer to where it goes into the body of the saw and pulling straight out perpendicular to the baseplate. It is fiddley, but once you get the knack, it gets easier.
