I recently received a reconditioned TS 75, which, except for the blade, looked practically new. The blade had quite a bit of pitch on and around the teeth, so I thought I would remove the blade to clean it. Despite repeated attempts, I was unable to remove the arbor nut with the supplied hex key. I watched a couple of videos on changing the blade, and did some reading on the forum of similar problems people had with the Kapex. I used a three foot length of steel pipe as a cheater bar on the hex key, and finally was able to loosen the arbor nut. It was a nerve racking experience as I was concerned that I would snap the hex key, or damage the saw or both.
My suggestion is that the reconditioning process include removal, cleaning, and appropriate retightening of the arbor nut to prevent a similar issue in the future.
