yesterday i was fitting some bi fold doors. i had to reduce each section down by 3/4 of an inch so 3/8 from each side. ts55 is the perfect tool for the job. however i only had the standard blades it came with,. after one door and finding it burnt during cuts (oak doors) i promptly went out and bought a panther blade as id seen recomended by you guys on this forum. the difference was like night and day.

i got a 12 tooth blade. basically because that was all axcminster tools had in stock.

i discovered that after cutting it left some very slight saw marks on the doors. do i need to fettle the saw a bit more or is this normal? if i adjust the little knob things any more then it grips the rail and stops it sliding.

the first bloke i ever saw with a ts55 produced a bang on perfect cut on oak block kitchen worktops and it was glass smooth

would it have been better with a slightly higher tooth count blade?

ok thanks, ill order one and itll be there for next time i need a perfect finish. ive got a fair few 48 tooth blades too so i need to get them sharpened up also.
