TSC 55 Is this saw being updated or discontiued?

Hello all,  I noticed that some of the authorized online dealers no longer list the TSC 55 track saw and one even says it is discontinued by the manufacture (may be an older variant as the part number stared with a 5 not a 2) with no direct replacement.  I still see them on some sites and the price is not reduced so I'm not sure if I should wait or if I want a cordless track so to buy before they are gone.

Any ideas?

Could be a switch over to Airstream or larger batteries from an earlier model.

I just checked online with a dealer who tends to be really up to date and the TSC55 is available n their website.  I also checked the 2017 (not 2018) catalog and the item numbers for the TSC-55 in the various offerings were 201394, 201399, 201403.

I wouldn't tush to make a decision.  Make it when it is right for you.

    I am betting this is just a difference in batteries and or the included charger. Probably Airstream vs non-airstream. If buying I would try to verify exactly what you are getting regardless of the part number shown on whatever site. Or order from one of the dealers that will actually know.

FWIW...those are the same numbers listed in the 2018 catalog.

Thanks for the information.  I may just get one.  They have airstream kits out now and it wouldn't make sense to put those out if they are updating any time soon.
