We are working on a kit approach of modular components, similar to your suggestion for Ron Paulk's approach for benches, but for up-fitting vans and trailers with shelves and Sysport like carts. We will ship flat, palletized, stretch wrapped from a central US location.
CAD designed components, CNC machined on high production industrial equipment and drilled for self-aligning CONFIRMAT fastener connections.
Because one of our specialized plywood sources is located in the Northwest (surprise) it would be easy to arrange for western US orders to be shipped from Oregon/Washington area.
If there is further interest, we're well set to add that to what we have going.
Looking for further input and response from the FOG on this.

EDIT> due to thread split.

"components for Sysport like carts"

When/where can we see these components?
Look for preliminary details in the second half of September (after FESTOOL Connect).
The concept aims at providing shop use and mobile job-site use carts for Systainers aimed to provide auxiliary worksurfaces on a job site and permit the user to group related sets of tools in each Sysport type cart to have types of tools at the ready where the work is performed. The other objective is to integrate these with modular shelf systems in Vans and trailers. The SYs carts would stow on the floor level while adjustable shelves above will house Systainers, and/or other brands of tools.
We plan to devote a section for public viewing and comments on our website. Our customers will receive email notification when this is up on the site.

From one busines man to another i am having trouble understanding the purpose of asking what the consumer would expect to pay? Charge what it cost you and add your profit pretty simple. The only reason i logically see to ask the consumer is because you want to see if you can get way more then its worth.

That is an amazing concept. I hope it works out. Don't forget the shop-bound market who do not require mobile transport storage.

I would readily purchase an under-MFT/3 cabinet with drawers and space for systainers and available on  casters. I really need that storage space and look under my MFT/3 with dismay at the unused space. Such a project keeps moving down my to-do list because like many, my household domestic to-do list is not fully under my control.

The idea of s knock-down MFT/3 cabinet really appeals. There are plenty of threads on this subject so there should not be too much to deciding the commonality among the various designs whether they are welded steel. 80/20. wood frame/plywood or all plywood. Peter Parfitt has a well designed bench with drawers and open storage space. Perhaps the partitions could be all drilled in 32mm sequence to accept drawers. The main concept is to build it to accept the MFT/3 table and secure it to the cabinet with enough over-hang on all sides to maintain the full usability of the MFT/3.

Good Luck.  This weekend, I have been ordered to build a cabinet shelf for a closet for winter hats and gloves. Oh well, the domestic to-do list moves up another priority.

As long as you keep us L-boxxers in mind, I will gladly watch with eager anticipation  [big grin]

well here we just stepped into the second half of September in the final stages of releasing our next new accessory tool  for the initial pre-production run so we can make an announcement in October. When that is accomplished we aim to have our yet to be named "Kart" kits  for Systainer ready to announce in late October.
We are planning to offer kits in several different overall heights:
a. Height to fit UNDER MFT-3
b. Height to be level with MFT-3 TOP
C. any other height that we can be convinced is needed.

Similar kits for L-BOXX users will follow

Of course we are already thinking about introductory SPECIAL offers  [wink]

if you purchased one of our Guide Rail Squares you will be receive an email with new product announcement If you subscribed to our NEWSLETTER you will also be notified.
