With being cooped up in the house, I’ve started making Christmas presents. They will be 8 sided cylinders in which a wine chiller is inserted. I don’t want to get into details, but there is a fair amount of planing and cutting Domino mortises.

The TSO dog stops hand been extremely helpful throughout these steps. I bought a pair thinking they would probably just collect dust. Instead, they get used a lot.

Great product.

I use them as stops on my MFT table when I am cross cutting a longer board down to the sizes I need, stops for panels when cutting domino mortises, and stops for sanding panels. Much more stable than the Veritas stops.

There is a set of washers that are oxide, different colors on both sides.  Is there a preference on which side goes where ?  I bought these as part of a bigger purchase but so far have not used them.  I was hoping they would come with some type of cheat sheet to help new users get the most out of them.  I know a lot of you folks can put them to use very quickly but my 'ah-ha' moment has not come yet.. [smile]

Mine came with a black washer that fits on the threaded part of the knob and a tan-like abrasive washer that sits on the top of the dog.  The blue anodized portion of the TDS-10 sits on top of the dog and the threaded knob with the black washer already mounted screws down onto the dog.

OK, say it!  "AH-HA!!!"  [big grin]

Thanks Willy, I should have included this picture initially.  These washers that sit on top of the dogs have two faces, two finishes.  Wasn't sure which side should sit against the plate and the top of the dog.

Just peel off the white paper and stick the washer to the top of the dog.

OK, NOW say it!  "AH-HA!!!"    [big grin]

Thanks Hans, I completely missed this piece.  My fault.

[member=59331]TSO Products[/member]. It would be extremely helpful if you guys had a larger YouTube presence. That is where I go when I hear about a tool to see it in action and the see the possibilities it can give me. I would have most likely purchased the TSO Dog stops when I subscribed to your YouTube channel. I bought them anyways.

@savesuds - your comment / suggestion regarding increased YouTube visibility for TSO is very timely and sincerely appreciated. It won't surprise you that we are already well aware of this unmet need. Yet it seems to always feel like the Greyhound within just a short distance to catch that rabbit on the track - but not quite.

We see that FESTOOL i Germany as well as in Indiana has found a way to record video with reasonable  distancing.
We will explore how we can make progress in safety. And we take you encouragement to heart.

thank you for your encouragement - and your business, as well.

Hans and Eric

My Parf Fences were busy so the TSO Dog Stops stepped up to the plate.

I love how they can easily be adjusted to cover any stop block requirement between the dog holes on 96mm centers.

[member=61691]TSO_Products[/member] When were those washers released? I don't believe I have those on my Dog Stops. Is it because I didn't buy dogs at the same time as the Dog Stops? (I already had the Dogs from you from previous purchases so bought the Dog Stops by themselves). Am I missing out by not having the washers?

[member=65062]DynaGlide[/member] - you bring up a point we had not heard before- and curiously no one raaised this point before. We feel very strongly that the abrasive discs are a great feature in making easy to lock down the SpeedKnob / Dog combination without spinning on you.

I just looked up the Bill of Materials for the SKU you purchased: 61-414 TDS-10 DogStop (basic pair).
Lo and behold, I'm looking at the BoM and it calls for :
(5 ea) 610-426 REV B  Washer, 150 Grit, Aluminum Oxide, PSA
(5 ea) 610-427 REV A  Washer, M8, Nylon, SpeedKnob

We often include spare fasteners and other small parts as you see in this instance.
Since we know your address we'll ship out the missing set to PLANTATION SHUTTER MAN aka Matt.

Anyone else missing the abrasive spacers on TDS-10 Dog Stop?
- just ask for the set by emailing info@tsoproducts.com
