For the folks that have used the Parallel Guides which lengths do you recommend?  I see that the combo packages have the 20" lengths separate of the 30" and 50".  I don't mind getting all three lengths if its worth it.  Thanks for the help.

[member=6181]m8[/member]  I have the three sets and use them all but if I needed to trim back I would just get the 30" and 50" sets.

[member=61691]TSO_Products[/member]  Thanks Hans, Eric, and the rest of your team. They answered all my dumb questions before I purchased the MTR-18 Set. I've wanted one for a while and the wife gave the go ahead and the first project for it. 10% off, free shipping, and no tax to my state saved me a hunk of change. It was marked shipped yesterday - can't wait to put it in action.

I got all 3 sizes when I bought mine.  The 30s stayed on all the time.  I now use the 20s a lot when make short shelves.  Rip a 15" piece off of a 4x8 sheet and just use the 20s to get 4-5 small shelf panels.  I have never used the 50s so far.

Guess you need the full set  [big grin]. I use the 50 when repetitive crosscutting longer pieces and don't want to drag out my SCMS in my garage shop.

I'm on email notification for the TPG and seen [member=72312]Rick Herrick[/member] mention he's never used his 50" PG.  I use my Incra PG's to rip 4x8' sheets for cabinets/work benches which have a max width of 24/30" width.  For those who use the 50" PG's, when do you find the need to rip panels wider than 30"?

Thanks everyone for the recommendations.  It appears I might as well go all in and get each length.  I'm also considering purchasing two GRS-16 PE Parallel Edge Guide Rail Squares over one GRS-16 guide rail Square and one GRS-16 PE Parallel Edge Guide Rail Square.

[member=6181]m8[/member] Why not just get one square and and adapter?

I had two squares until the adapter came out. I actually bought two because for most long rips you don't need to reference the end of the piece and the adapters are much smaller/lighter.

I agree with you and may ultimately use it the same way as you but for now I want to be able to have as many options available to me when I'm using the parallel guides.

I also came looking to order another TPG adapter, Flipstop upgrades and maybe another set of Flipstops, but no stock  [sad].  It would be nice to be able to get another set of the "calibration memory" stop separately for the narrow guides.

Think the upgrade eliminates the need for another set in that it includes a stop collar for the short pin (but I could be wrong).

I believe you are right.  I'm going between the "upgrade" and just buying another set of Flipstops and TPG Adapters and keeping them permanently attached to my small guide 20" rails to avoid having to switch back and forth.  I also think double TPG Adapters might be better on narrow cuts as the square can sometimes get in the way if I'm not careful and throw off my cuts.

Received my new MTR-18 Set today - that was fast!

I'm replacing my WP 18" triangle with it. I use the WP all the time so this one will even get used more with the additional features. Small wish - wish TSO offered a cutout case for storing the triangle like WP does.

I wish they'd make a mini-triangle I can hang on my Christmas tree and maybe it even lights up Blue TSO!! :)

I did order the big foot but I feel the shipping cost was way to high. 18 bucks for a box that might have a pound at best. Should be about 8 max. Might even been able to go first class with usps.
