UG Stand paint flaking

Just wondering if anyone's UG stand paint is flaking off.
I bought my Kapex and UG set early March and I opened the UG stand box this am and the paint is flaking off.
I have an unheated workshop so I was wondering if the expansion and contraction would cause this paint failure regardless of how many UG stands my dealer is willing to replace?
Tried to attach a jpg.

Thanks
Doug

It looks like it could just be poor paint adhesion. I would contact the dealer you purchased it from. I would use it until its resolved unless someone tells you otherwise...or paint it jet black...just kidding!

Ps...my stand is always in my truck, regardless of New England climate, sees all sorts of weather in transport from the truck to the site. The only paint coming off of mine is where I've scraped it up...and it's scraped!!!

I would definitely take it back and swap it for another one. It shouldn't be like that. I've had mine nearly 2 years and it's not done that, just some scratches as a used tool.
Hope you get it sorted .

Send that back. I could be that if you get another from the same manufacturing batch that it will flake too. If so, send that one back also. Mine lives in my usually unheated shop and has endured below freezing temps(and frequent reheating to room temp) without paint flaking.

This shouldn't happen from expansion and contraction, seems more like a bad paint job, the stand probably wasn't cleaned good enough before it was powder sprayed.

Looks like surface contamination prior to painting - probably isolated to the one UG.
