Just noticed Amazon has a "4 for the price of 3" offer at the moment where you get the cheapest of 4 qualifying items for free. I've had a quick look at qualifying items and there are some bargains to be had for sure! Festool, Bessey, loads more. Move quick!

As an example, I added a Kapex KS 120, OF 2200, Domino DF 500 and Rotex RO 150 to my basket and the Rotex was essentially free! [scared]

OK, so Amazon doesn't have the *best* prices, but when you get the cheapest item free...

Is there a code? Not working for me

You have to make sure the items you are purchasing are supplied by Amazon UK and not a MarketPlace seller. No codes required.

Tried bessey kliklamps but their prices are so high that it's still dearer with the 4 for 3 than I can buy elsewhere :(

For Bessey, try Amazon.de as the £ is strong against the Euro at the moment and there are some good deals to be had. You won't be able to use the 4 for 3 offer, but the 125th Anniversary Special Edition 125mm Kliklamp pair for exmaple is 36.90EURO delivered to the UK, which is about £26.40. Otherwise, Transtools in the UK are the cheapest supplier I've found.

Cheapest I've found is bessey.co.uk buy 10 x 120mm get 2 free total £126 plus delivery I think it was. Tried d&m tools and if I collect they will do 10 for about £120 ish

Tried this last night and again this morning and doesn't seem to work. Followed all the instructions of making sure I was buying direct from Amazon not a 3rd party, etc...

Let me know what are you adding to your basket and I'll see if I can figure out what's wrong.

Blimey!

I wonder if Festool are supporting Amazon in this promotion? And whether they would do the same for us? Otherwise Amazon are making a huge loss on all the 4 for 3 deals they do.

Of course if Festool are supporting them, would they tell us, or is it confidential?

I suspect it's more likely they haven't really thought it through, or it's an error on their part.

Really? One of the most successful companies in the world making a mistake that could cost them dearly? It's not on the scale of Hoover and free flights to America but it would be very surprising. More likely all participating suppliers have to support the promotion up the supply chain. We will probably never know, just a shame for dealers that Festool products are being included in the promotion.....great for customers though.  [smile]

I do feel for you Warren, I used to be a retailler once but supermarkets and tax dodging multinationals mean it's impossible to compete. Even if it is a loss, amazon's creative accountants can find a way to write it off.

It's only a great deal if you need 4 qualifying items and if the numbers work out as amazon are not the cheapest for everything.

And the more you are planinng to spend, then the bigger the potential saving. Great if you are planing a workshop/setup and have the funds but not for everyone.

Yes, really. Amazon is a big bumbling giant. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing.

Having dealt with Amazon US and Canada, it's amazing to see some of the things going on. If you can find it, "Amazon Rising" was an insightful documentary done that highlights some of the stuff behind the scenes. They treat their fulfillment center employees quite poorly. My neighbor just moved from Seattle and worked for Amazon. He said the same working conditions existed in the fraud investigation department too.

I refuse to be an Amazon customer. My first purchase from them about 12 years ago, I was double-billed and they refused to refund me despite clear evidence.

They're probably bleeding from it and don't even realize it. Of course, I have zero knowledge of any relationship between Festool UK and Amazon UK.

I have to agree, but there are some bargains.

The Festool FS-HZ 160 Lever Clamp for instance is at a good price already at £28.92. With the 4 for 3, they'd be £21.69 each. I've *never* seen them at that low price.

We had a documentary here in the UK a while ago about Amazon and they did not come out of it well. From then I chose not to purchase from them anymore. Their impact on competitors is huge and my personal opinion is that dealers who use their marketplace are just banging nails into their own businesses coffin. It's like telling a competitor what really sells well so they can pick that product up and compete with you, where's the sense? But hey, there is no use griping really. I'm always curious though as to the difference in the deals done by suppliers with the likes of Amazon and the little guys like us. Maybe we are all treated the same, maybe not.
