I just paid GBP 219.33 for my centrotec systainer set that is priced in the brochure at GBP 286.70 including VAT.

The Festool codes are identical so I am not confusing two different products.

So what gives?

That's an easy one.

The list price of 286.70 includes VAT. Since you are outside of the EU, you are not required to pay VAT, so you would get it at the ex-VAT list price of GBP244.

HOWEVER: In the UK, anything which is classed as an 'accessory' can be discounted at the dealer's discretion up to 20%.

You were obviously given some discount that brought the price down to GBP219.33. If you'd pushed the dealer hard enough, you could have gotten it for as little as GBP195.20...

Ah, OK. Well in that case, that dealer is selling at more than the maximum allowed discount, and will probably get a slap on the wrist if Festool UK find out!

Somehow in the autumn offers it says ?286.70 incl. VAT and only ?219.33  on the Festool UK website.

Price on the UK website and various dealers is now 286.70 as per the brochure. But I did already receive my set and I paid 219 for it incl. VAT.

Festool UK closed that little loophole pretty quickly!

The ratchet set is okay, but I would say, that the ratchet itself is too gross on the clicks. It should have twice as many to be good for fine work. Otherwise it's fine.
