What are the UK guys using to spray (paint as opposed to lacquer) these days?

I'm looking to make some built in units and the customer has spec'd a very durable finish. I have an Fuji sprayer and am pretty competent with it, but my knowledge on the range current/modern finishes, clear top coats, etc available in the UK is a little lacking.

Any help much appreciated.

Bob.

Movac waterbased is a good fit for the fuji but you will need the right tip.

cheers

Been using Morrells for years, works for me.  Ready to spray straight out of the tub.

What specific product(s) do you use?

Are you using their waterbased? I found it ok but movac better.

Yes only WB, fan not spark proof etc and feel more comfortable using WB.

[member=17934]jimbouk[/member] assume they colour match? Everyone seems to want F&B colours. I'll give them a go on a home project.

Thanks for all the input.

Having done a bit of research myself via Google, it would seem that a manufacturer called Tikkurila and they're "Feelings Furnitre Paint" is the dogs plums of all the current WB paints!

Anyone heard of it or used it?

Sounds interesting - please post us some links to the research

Yeah they colour match. I found it raises the grain less than morells. It also seems that you need warm conditions for spraying and drying. What tip/cap size are you using mahomo59?

cheers

Here are a few inks for kitchen painters who speak highly of it:

Contacted Movac, waiting for response.

My tip is 1.8. Came with the gun and never changed it. Yes warm and dry with morrells, I crank the heaters right up during the winter months try and get to 18-20
