Hi Guys
Just to let you know new products have been added to the site.  Festool finally bring out a combi cordless!
There are new tools, also a couple of handy systainers but what I am very pleased about are lifetime filter bags for the CTL Mini & Midi, we are always asked for these.
Check these out here Festool New Products
More info on the tools will be added to the site when I get it.
Thanks
Pete

Looks like the guys at protool finally found the tin of green paint !

Peter, is the ct 17 the same size as a Midi ?  My old Stayer shop vac just about caught fire in the workshop yesterday, dam thing was only about 18 years old  [mad]
Have the 26 for taking on site but its a big lug of a thing for taking upstairs in people's houses.

Cheers

The CT17 is classed as a vacuum and not an extractor. The mini and midi are better machines. It has a non anti static hose (cheaper) but it does have a tool power take off.  The capacity is 17 litre, it is to compete with the cheaper vacs out there ie henry but with the quality of a Festool tool.
Cheers
Peter

definetly getting a midi now. iv been waiting for the lifetime bag

its a pity the angle grinder track saw hasnt made it over to to festool

I'm personally sad to see the orange go [sad] ... I hope the big planers and other useful stuff make it over to green:

I'm guessing that these are just the first batch of ex-protools, and the rest will follow in stages over the coming months.

Check out Festool germany on FB they had a recent Roadshow with a lot of pics worth wieving. Don't expect to understand anything of the comments (unless you're german)  [wink] but "a picture says more then a thousand words"

I was told a lot more stuff will be turning Festool.    They are drip feeding us  [big grin]

Another note apparently they have made small changes to some of the tools as they have gone from Protool to Festool.

Also new MINI and MIDI are coming out Alan so hold your horses on getting a Midi! The New models have T-loc attachment

Im glad they bought out life Long bag!!! Im getting one straight away!

Or shop around for some great deals on the older models if you don't need the T-loc attachment?  [wink]

I wouldn't lie to you Alan!    I was right about the carvex 420 when most where questioning me.  Also Ti15 but not the update I thought it would be.  Remember?

Have to say I really like the look of the new systainer storage box and I think I will be ordering one very soon

I understand that the new mini/midi will come with a tapered hose - 36mm at the end that goes into the vac and 27mm at the tool end. It makes the whole thing more efficient.

Pete, you've done well to get a picture of a festool sword saw as even the festool promotional brochure which I received as a pdf today from Tom Hyslop shows the Protool Sword Saw in the picture showing the different features.

not sure i like that. if you break the hose can you cut off the brocken piece and put the end back on.
also what about custom length hoses
