Good Afternoon

Just had word that the 564501 TI 15 Impact has been deleted from the range in the UK, they are all gone and there are 3 of the  BASIC version 564499 available in Germany to UK dealers.

No reason given at this time, but to be honest I haven't had time to ask the question. So, if you were after one, better contact your favourite dealer to see if they have stock. (We don't have any left, our last two just sold).

Best regards

Warren

I was thinking about getting one to pair with the C15 i want to get in a month or so. Guess that is out now.

Yes i must agree with jmb, when it came out i asked a rep for a demo, and he said he dint have one cas it was so new at the time. I thought ok he hant got one, and then i saw him at a trade show and few months later and again asked for a demo, and said the same. I asked him why he dint have it, cas it was a new tool and i would think festool would want to push for sales, he politely said it was crap, and would not recommend it to me cas he knew how fussy i am.

JMB, maybe you could tell us how you really feel!?  [big grin]

I never read any good reviews on the TI15 so I've never been tempted to purchase one myself. It seems to me that Festool only wants to bring a tool to market if it's unique. I'm all about quality in the tools I purchase, I'd take a Festool 18V impact that doesn't have any drilling features over one that has drilling features and lacks speed because of it.

I'd also take a Festool reciprocating saw with no bells and whistles too. More tools to complement my 18V Festool battery platform!

I wouldn't want to discourage Festool from innovation, I love my T18 and all the chucks that go with it. But sometimes plain Jane is better than a bunch of gimmicks.

I think its time for festool to tackle the silent impact driver. Give us the power without the noise.

[thumbs up] now that's a great idea that's why I don't have an impact  they are to  loud

Not a very good reason to be honest

The benefits out weigh the noise by 100x

I suppose it does depend what kind of work you do but general joinery an impact is pretty much a must.

It's not "crap" ... but it's certainly not a market leader in the way that many other Festools are!

Festool didn't do themselves any favours when they sold it as a complete drill system - I'd never bother trying to use mine as anything other than an impact.

What I'm really looking forward to is a revised 18V impact wrench.

I wan't a Festool Impact driver that could work with my 18v batteries, I did not plan on getting one that soon but it's definitely on my list.. The Ti impact was on my list, so I'm sorry to see it go...

Still wouldn't be a bad idea if it were a bit less noisy, now would it?

I'm one of those people who doesn't necessarily need an impact driver, but I would like to have one anyway, if they weren't so loud. The noise they make is putting me off from getting one.

Yeah, I would love it if they made less noise that would be brilliant but even if they made more noise I would still buy one.

Like I said they are a must.

If you like to work safer make life easier and save time in some situations use an impact over a regular drill.

If you like your wrists use an impact driver. Driving 200mm+ screws with a drill driver is just horrible it requires two hands so your drill doesn't snap your hand off.

Drive concrete screws in use an impact driver is pretty much a must often I have had concrete screws stop dead with a drill.

Over head drilling

List goes on.

A few years ago I wished that festool would make an impact driver. Got quite excited when they did, tried it at an exhibition when it first came out and disappointed is an understatement. I know Festools philosophy is that everything they make has to be better/cutting edge but they got it so wrong with the impact driver. Festool is obviously aimed at the professional market, we all have at least one or more decent drill drivers so why make an impact driver that is also a poor drill driver? I am not surprised it is discontinued because I can't see a market for it in its current form.
