UK supplier of Hose Sleeve

Hi Andrew, Ron and Robert,

Many thanks - I now understand. As I do most of my work in the workshop I use a bungee to lift the hose and had forgotten about the hose catching problem.

I visit cabletiesandmore.ca but I need to purchase large quantities to get the color ones, only the black is sold by the foot.  Did you buy the black one?

I bought the 30' spool which was enough to do 2 hoses.

I didn't find the price too bad and now I have an extra if I need to replace it. Here is a tip, if you are going to put a plug it cord inside with the hose make sure it's the 16 gauge/heavier one that will work with all the tools and if you are going to use the heat shrink tubing connect the hose to your vac and turn it on when using the heat gun to keep the hose from melting. I can help you out if you have any other questions.

If you want to do the same why not unclip the hose end and run sleeve right up to the cuff it may involve easing the id of the cuff retaining collar but it would make a neater and more durable job

Been there, tried that, didn't work.
