Useful Tips for Hiding Festool (or other) Purchases from Significant Others

Pretty sure this is just supposed to be a fun topic. Probably good not to turn it into a judgement on peoples personal relationships. Not like it isn't joked about fairly often in other topics when people post about getting new tools.  [wink]

I'm going to assume that this thread is somewhat in jest because I can't imagine hiding lots of purchases from my spouse, let alone sharing tips on how to do so.

In that spirit: how about just counting her shoes from time to time? Fight fire with fire!

Yes, it's in jest. Just thought it might be fun. The fellow up above who called it pathetic didn't get the sense of humor.

Or, his wife monitors his posts on FOG from time to time.....

I have a few stories I might share if I get my courage up, but until that happens, I'd like to hear yours. We ALL have SO much to learn. Imagine the collective ability from everyone on this discussion board. The cumulative experience of hiding purchases could open up the floodgates of possibility for all us losers who are too transparent and can't hide a purchase without squealing on ourselves. Give us your best strategies....

I only order from companies that ship using Fed Ex or USPS, because they deliver in the early afternoon in my area when I am home alone, never in the evening like UPS (when my wife is home).  I also go as far as only ordering early in the week, so I know my shipment won't arrive on a Saturday.

Once the Government forces companies to start taxing online purchases (don't laugh, it's coming), I will be using the "hide it in the trunk" technique and shop exclusively at Woodcraft (is this a stock purchase tip?).

Sounds like a perfect device to vanish the renmants of someone who complains too loud, often or intensely about purchases delivered in non-bottomless ones...  [unsure]
