uses for t loc systainers

hi all .
i am about to invest in a few t loc systainers to hold some tools that are needed on site or need a place to store all the accesories in one place.
i was wondering if anybody has solutions to these tools or others.

tormek +jigs
kreg jig
multimaster
hand electric planer
manual planes and chisels
lock jig
sandpaper

You can get a multimaster insert from a Tanos dealer directly in your country or in Europe.  Others will pipe in I am sure on some other ideas.

i was going to get the multimaster 1 but said i would ask here to see if any one has made one.

the abrasives sysrainer insert by festool doesnt hold enough and when there is only a few sheets in each section it is a PITA.

i was looking for something more perminent than the pick and pluck. i can see cube falling out over time from putting in tools every day.
i was thinking of stabilising the pick and pluck with some resin or glue and shrink wraping a plastic layer over it

I use the pick 'n' pluck foam for the multimaster (there's some pic's of it on here somewhere, I'll try to find them for you).

The foam cubes aren't loose, they're held together with un-cut sections (kind of like perforated cardboard?) so they won't 'fall out'.

Alan, get some rigid foam from a Tanos dealer on your side of the pond.  Your concern about the regular pick and pluck (or vari foam as Festool calls it) is valid.  It is very flexible, pliable and soft...so yes, it may pull apart after continuously removing a tool time and time again.  The rigid is a whole other story.  That stuff will stay together for you.  See here: http://www.systainerworld.com/Tanos_Pick_pluck_foam_30_mm_rigid_for_Systaine_p/401-018.htm

If you're willing to spend a few bucks, this is really neat:

You download their CAD package, design your own 3D foam, and they cut it out on a CNC router.  They have a lot of pre-sized stuff for Pelican cases, but you can do custom foam sizes too.

I did this for an expensive piece of audio gear I have 4 years ago, and it's been great.

On the back end of the Fein is a cover which is removable (IIRC just 2 screws). Underneath that is a connector block that the cord is screwed into, and a cable grip. The plug-it can be wired directly into here.

It's completely reversible, so if the Fein ever needs to be sent in, you can quickly & easily put the original cord back on.

Can one use a Sys#1 for the Fein MM Topmaster, w/vac, blades etc ....with a foam insert, or does it need to be a Sys2?

i dont know if it needs to be a sys1 or 2 . a 2 would allow the cord to be thrown in but if if tipped on its side i would think the tools would fall out of their place [scared]

i  was thinking of getting 3 sys 2 , 2 systainer 3, and 1 sys4or 5 . and a wheel cart.
what size would i want for the tormek , i was allowing a sys2 for the jigs. does anybody think i should get a sys 1 aswell.
