using standard bushings in CMS router table

I recently purchased a CMS router table and I am dismayed that it doesn't come with a reducing ring that accepts a guide busing for template routing.  Has anyone come up with a solution?

I'm also dismayed there is nothing available to adapt a standard Porter Cable Guide Bushing into a CMS Throat-plate/Centering Ring. I purchased a "Route-R-Join™" from Woodline.Com at the Woodworking Show held at OC Fairground in Costa Mesa this weekend. The system utilizes interchangeable guide templates which allow switching from decorative shaped joints to dovetails on a router table using a standard (1-3/16" through-bore with a 1-3/8" counterbore) Porter Cable Guide Bushing.

In both, my 1400 Router & CMS Router Table kit there is no adapter plate that accepts this Guide Bushing for use on the table, except for the plate that is router use only. Do you know of a Festool Part Number that'll enable me to resolve this issue I'm experiencing?

Has anyone else a solution?

There isn't an adapter because there would be no way to guaranty that the router bit would even be close to centered in the bushing.

While I don't personally recommend it, if you really want a guide bushing, simply drill out the opening in the smallest throat plate insert to fit a standard universal bushing.

My CMS is twenty miles away, and Rick's post makes so much sense.  Anyone have the LR32 with the centering mandrel and the CMS to check if there is a throat plate that matches the centering mandrel?

So for those looking at this the issue is that there needs to be a 0.100 countersink in the throat plate and the one provided by Festool (#469884) as an example, is too thin. I'm considering bonding another plastic to the back of it then doing the countersink. Any thoughts?
