Vacuum pump and clamping unit.

Was looking at YouTube videos and saw someone using one, and looked cool.

I was wondering if this product will ever be released in the states?

Thanks!

I fixed it. 'Trying to do two things at once doesn't normally work real well...

Still doesn't work for me?

That might be a good thing, will eliminate temptation and sticker shock! [big grin]

The link worked for me, but is it a kit or a buy each item separately?

Interesting. It takes me to Sandpaper Assortments in both Safari and Chrome.

I suppose that's possible, but as a former IT guy it's one of the first things I thought of. After clearing the cache in FireFox and doing an update AND a restart I *Still* get directed to Sandpaper Assortments.

This is the third browser I've used, on a second computer?

Maybe it's trying to tell me that I can only buy abrasives from you?

[big grin]

Here's the link it opens:

http://www.tool-home.com/products/catalog/index.php?manufacturers_id=60&sort=3d&filter_id=1669

Further testing shows that manufacturers_id=60 is Festool, and sort=3d&filter_id=1669 is Sandpaper Assortments.

I can, of course, search for "Schmalz Vacuum Clamping Systems" and find it just fine.

If it's working for everyone else don't worry about it. I was just trying to give you a heads-up that it wasn't fixed for me, and might not be for other people.

Edit - this was driving me nuts so I logged into a remote server and tried it there WITHOUT LOGGING IN. It worked just fine. Now I just need to figure out why it's still showing me old data in three different browsers on 2 different computers.

Update (if anyone but Tom or I care):

Rebooted my Modem and that fixed the issue.

There are two distinct systems, one runs off vacuum and one runs off compressed air.

The Multi-Clamp kit for vacuum is 10.01.12.01852. That gives you the base that spins, pitches, and sucks itself to whatever is underneath it with all the hook ups. You also get the square, 160mm x 160mm suction plate. That suction plate can be configured for various shapes using some Sealing Cord.

There are an additional three Suction Plates that can be used with the vacuum operated  Multi-Clamp. There's a 210mm diameter plate, a 300mm x 100mm plate, and a 200mm x 55mm plate. I also use a Foot Valve with it so I can use both hands on the work piece(s).
