Hi,

I purchased a generic Eureka 60047 turbo power head off of ebay based on the suggestion of an old post here on FOG. However it doesn't fit on my stainless tradesman/installer tubes. The stainless tubes measure 35mm in diameter. The vacuum head has an inside diameter of 33mm and an outside diameter of 37mm. Can anyone recommend a coupler that would work?

The Festool website isn't helpful as it doesn't actually give dimensions. I already ordered one adapter that I can't use so I figured I'd see if anyone had a suggestion.

Thanks

You might be able to make one using some electrical conduit, like Carlon, from the local home center.

Long time back I made an adapter using conduit for a keg jig. Can't claim invention rights since it was another Fog member who came up with the idea. The piece I have have enough wall thickness for what you need so bring a caliper so you can find a proper piece or pipe/coupler.

I have a 1-1/4 inch 45 degree bend Carlon sched 40 conduit

A little work with a drum sander can get you the inside diameter to fit the outside diameter you need, and the other you sand similar but less.

If you have a lathe it would be easier.

I've done the sand the interior route also...that being said it is really easy to dip the plastic conduit, no matter what kind, in boiling water or use a heat gun to soften the plastic and expand to fit.
