Vacuum size vs airflow

I had read somewhere that despite having nearly identical CFM ratings, the larger vacuums are able to move more air. If I remember correctly, this is due to the larger HEPA filter on them. Can anyone confirm this? If that’s true, why are the CFM ratings identical?

Once you get to the full-size models, I'm pretty sure that everything is interchangeable. The tub height is different.
(This applies to the 15 and 25 too, they swap too.)
The differences are the dust capacity, bluetooth, auto-clean, etc. These are "options" you get, by the model you pick. It's not like a "configure your own", there are specific combinations.
A few years ago, the CT26 came without Bluetooth, but you could add the module later. Now, they come with it already built in.
Technically, the bigger bags mean more filter, but the air flow at the inlet is the same. From 26 up, they all use the same HEPA filter module too.
If you already have a CT26, you could raise the capacity, by purchasing a replacement tub for a 36 or 48.
