I've grown tired of the Festool plastic clamp brackets not reliably holding my MFT 3 fence in position. I'm also not going to go the two-protractor route that works well for some due to space constraints and cost.
I found these relatively inexpensive anodized aluminum dogs from Lee Valley that have a flat milled on the upper body. A quick cross drilling on the drill press for an M6 bolt and nut yielded a solid and simple solution. Now I just need to locate a couple of holes further back on the top to give a little more cross cut capacity.

(They are called Large Surface Dogs and catalog no. 05G49.06)
