I think that would work great, with a magnifier. I know that there currently is a plastic window, with "0" and "1/2" degree markings. If the scale itself had more markings, I could be even more accurate :)

I know there is the angle finder thing that comes with the kapex. My issue is that I often have to run crown around a bullnose corner.
Up until now, I just use my bosch miter finder, get that angle, then divide the reverse angle by 4, so that will be my cut's on the saw. With the kapex angle finder, it will give me the actual angle of the corner, but I would need to cut whatever that angle is in half, (1/4's?) so the filler bit fits properly. (glue'd up on the bench as well!)

Similar to my avatar picture, the small bits need to be accurately cut.

Way back when I bought my Milwaukee saw because it had the digital readout, to1/10th degree. Unfortuantely it's beginning to go a little skitzoid! LOL like I needed an excuse to get the kapex :D

What technique do you use for the bull nose corner cuts?

Thanks!

Laurie.

ooooook then :) guess I'm the only one that encounters bullnose corners. Oh well, it's like a lot of stuff, I figure it out by just doing it :) I know I'm focus'd on exact angles,  and perhaps that's not so necessary. Could it be that 1/4 degree is close enough? hmmmmmmm LOL

It's been a couple of weeks now, I'm having fun with the kapex in my garage - but the phone is not ringing! geez. Someone's gotta have a crown moulding emergency! last year at this time I was quite busy, but this last month? nada.

I am very impressed with this saw, it cuts soooo smooth.

Can't help with your bullnose corners, but I agree with the smoooooth cuts. The accurite , repeatable , smooth cuts combined with the precise lasers have made my miter cuts sooo much better and easier.  [smile]
