I have the XL and really like it. I can get most of my hand tools in minus the handsaw. I like how things all have there place. It does mean it rakes slightly longer to pack back up. Then at the same time when you want to get a tool out it is nice and easy to find. I don't think I would go for the large xxl as I guess will be too big and heavy when full
Have the XL, a little heavy but the the price you pay for an indestructible bag that keeps all my hand tools and organize and safe. Took make a couple of months to get my tools organize as they are so many possibilities due to all of the pockets.
I have had the Pro Pac XL for a few years now, great bag, I would definitely recommend it. As said by wrightwoodwork I would not go for the bigger one as the XL is heavy enough when full.
I have the xxl bag its heavy but manageable.
The only thing I don't like is the pockets don't vary enough in size for example there are to many large pockets on the top row so you end up with a 2" pocket for a 1/4" chisel, on the whole a good bag.
I have thought about systainering all my kit only downside saw and level won't fit
i've owned the OTxxl, closed top XXL, and closed top XL. The closed top XL is the one I didn't sell and use to story everything dear to me.
I like the closed because you can keep it zipped up and not worry about filling it up with saw dust. I like how there is no space without pockets so i don't put larger things in there that should go somewhere else. I use it just for hand tools and a lot of them. Its a solution worth trying for sure.
My carry pack is the Tech XL. Aside from the weight of the contents [sad], it's a great pack. Everything is standing upright so I don't have to unload the entire bag to find the needed, but seldom-used, tool lying on the bottom.
I use the XXL-F (http://www.thetoolbloke.com.au/products/veto-pro-pac-xxl-f), and it's fantastic. Lots of pockets on one side, quite open on the other. The pockets aren't really appropriate for chisels, so I keep them on the other side, in a roll. By far the best tool bag I've seen, or used, and the best solution I've found for hand tools. Don't find it too heavy, as it seems to be well balanced when loaded and zipped shut.
Think i will get one. The footprint of the lt is similar to systainer so should fit in my van rack as well. Will try it out for all my electrical stuff first before getting one for my chippy gear.
[attachimg=1][attachimg=2][attachimg=3][attachimg=4] here is some pics of how I have the tools set up in the bag. I haven't had any issues with the chisels cutting the pockets and don't use any guards.
When I got mine I had only seen on YouTube. So took a chance on the XL as I guessed would be best suited to my needs which it seems to be. Also when I got mine thier wasn't as many dealers only a couple do not as easy to check out
