Vika Worktable/Scaffolding

I'm envisioning using a Vika worktable as an assembly slash finishing table given that it can be set at different heights.  I would also use it with my MFT when cutting with the parallel guides.  Any members have tried the Vika tables and are willing to provide any feedback?

I have a couple of the Vika tables and have really enjoyed them.  Search back, as there have been several discussions regarding them.

Keep in mind that the legs only have two positions.  You could probably drill additional holes if you needed to.

The height in the "workbench mode" is almost exactly the same as the older MFT1080.  They work great as an extension wing for the MFT1080.

They are also great as a quick stand for the Kapex.  You can put a Systainer 1 on each side of the saw to support material.

I have the Vika Two Fold and like it very much.  The built in tray is handy, as is the big hole for drilling.  The height positions are great as a scaffolding, but the table sits a tad low for me for any extended work, besides assembly (I'm 6'1").  If I use a stool it's OK for general work.

I generally set it up as a secondary table when using my miter saw, to hold work pieces, measuring tools, etc, etc.  I've also used it as a central work table for routing, jig-assisted joinery, etc.  Overall I'm glad I have it.  I plan to keep it if/when I get a MFT.

My only complaints about the Two Fold are: it's relatively narrow, so it's not like I can assembly adirondack chairs on there, but conversely this size makes it portable...  the leg positions:  I'd love if it there were more pre-sets.  I could drill more, but haven't.  So far I've been able to deal with the height as it is.

I do have to say, I really appreciate it's utility as a scaffold.  I've used it a number of times for painting, as a stand to heave stuff up to my garage loft, etc.  It's only a tad more trouble than getting out a ladder, but lots more stable and more standing room.

I do not have the Vika work table, but it seems quite similar to the WorkMate, of which I do have one, and those are very popular.

I have the Vika Two-Fold and find that it's very handy in the shop. I use it for an assembly table and/or to hold parts. I haven't used it for anything else yet but I'm also planning to use it for my small mitersaw when needed.  Haven't had any need to use it as a scaffold.

I use mine every day on site mostly as a walking platform in the low position I left it out side of a job site the MDF top got wet so I just removed it and it makes it a little easier to transport I don't think I will be replacing the MDF any time soon.

I have 2 of them that I bought from Costco.  Quality of build is pretty good.  I think the design for the leg braces is pretty weak, otherwise a nice portable work surface.

I agree

They are pretty effective, but could have designed a little better.  They are a hassle to deploy, and always seem to hang up on something.

I have the vika work table.  I bought it from costco when they were closing it out for $70.  I really like it.  It's sturdy, closes up and has a handle making it very easy to transport and the quality is pretty good.  I've used it for scaffolding but mostly I use it for a work table for sanding or miter stand, etc.  I took the 1/2" mdf top off and switched it over to a 3/4" mdf top and drilled holes to make it similar to an MFT table.  It's not ideal as a MFT type table since their are metal supports under the MDF surface.  I want to keep it as both a work table and a scaffold so I don't want to cut off the metal supports but If you didn't need the weight capacity for scaffolding you probably could.
