Virutex tiltable mitre saw/ table saw combination all in one ... Interesting

Bosch had a saw like this but only in Europe.  Seems like the saw is designed for Flooring installers......although I would use a Bullet Shear and/or a Pull Push saw for flooring.

the problem is that the chop saw part needs a crosscut blade and the table saw part needs a rip blade.

i was thinking of buying one a while back (a good one not a cheap one) for flooring  type jobs
i wouldnt want it as my only chop saw or table saw but i think it would be handy to have  for some jobs.

I would imagine that for engineered flooring cut direction would be less of a consideration. That stuff ruins a blade in ANY direction!  [laughing]

I've done the laminate flooring of 3 houses with Festool's laminate blade on the CS70 and it's still going strong. I guess it all depends on what blade you put in it. But normal wood blades don't stand a chance against it.

I agree with Dean that those types of saws are terrible. The top is so heavy that they become unstable very fast. Not much, but just enough to spoil the cut. And the table for ripping often comes loose.

I recall seeing those types of saws at Canadian Tire and Rona here. Not of any known brand name and of shabby looking quality
