I’m curious what primers everyone is having success with for trim and milk work? The vast majority of the trim packs I work on are pre-primed.

For several years I’ve been using SW Premium Wall and Wood. It works well, but doesn’t sand as well as I’d like.

Recent I’ve tried SW Kem Aqua Plus Surfacer, Lenmar Duralac Undercoater and a product from Milesi. All of these products crack on all the caulked joints. So far I’ve tried ProStretch, Alex Plus and Quick-2-Coat caulks.

You’re the first person I’ve ever read/heard state W&W does not sand well. It is the best sanding "regular" primer I have ever used.

Try SW 5421 Gen II, item #E64W522.
