In the January 2013 Lee Valley promo mailing they have added a lot of Wera hand tools, there are six pages of wrenches, socket sets, screwdrivers and accessories.

These seem like very well designed tools but definitely priced a la Festool.

I have a set of the fixed screwdrivers which are excellent, although I count them carefully after each use to make sure none have escaped because they are 3-4 times the price of my other screwdrivers.

I have typical Craftsman, Mastercraft, etc. sockets and I don't do a lot of heavy mechanical work like rebuilding engines, but several features of the Wera sockets caught my eye, and two in particular (the "spinner" and sleeve on the handle, and the locking extensions) would have been very useful indeed on a recent project.

What experience does anyone have with the wrenches, sockets and interchangeable / expandable / ratcheting screwdrivers?

I have a set of Wera fixed screwdrivers with ACR laser cut grooves, and I enjoy these very much. I also bought a ratcheting screwdriver set with replaceable blades, and modified the blades to work with the Centrotec system. So far so good, and a very versatile arrangement.

I just got some Wera screwdrivers this last holiday...they look very nice and I am sure I will enjoy using them.  Not sure on the sockets, etc... but they look to be very high quality too.

I have the Zyklop ratchet in 1/4" and 3/8" and I adore them.  I sent my bro in law my Snap-On Dual 80 3/8 Ratchet because I only use the Zykiops....wonderful ratchets

As good as Snap-on is, I think Zyklops is better. I have found  ChadsToolbox  to have the best prices.

I have both the expandable and ratcheting screwdrivers.  They're great!  The ratcheting one will take a little getting used to because of the seam that rubs in the middle of your palm.  A few swipes with 320 grit sandpaper put a little more roundover on the edges and made it a lot more comfortable.

Chadstoolbox is great- can't comment on OPs specific inquiry but I have many hand drivers from there made by Wera and Felo also, the "bit holder" screwdrivers with the handle tip reserve are great for cabinetmaking and my Felo ones are all under $20- a fantastic deal for a well designed tool.
