I don't have one, and I won't be upgrading my trion soon, but I think these are the main differences:
Brushless ectec motor, which means it's lighter with more power. It has an automatic setting on the speed dial.
Built in light, which also has a strobe setting, so it looks like the blade isn't moving.
Quick change bases, of which I think the angle base would really be an upgrade.
The plug it connector on the tool can swivel up, so you have more manouvrability in tight work areas.
The first carvex also featured a blade guide that didn't need manual calibration, but they replaced it with the older system after not being able to get it right.
The dustcollection opening looks like it doesn't clog as fast as on the trion, and the slide down window seems much more practical.
