Hello, I am looking for some advice on what blade to use to cut 3/16” with my TS55.  I am going to be working on site cutting lots of plexi to fit snug around columns in a 10,000 soft room that is getting wall to wall plexi floor for a publicity event.  I am concerned about showing up with the wrong blade as well as getting plastic stuck to the blade.

Any advice would be very much appreciated

You want to use the 496309.  I used that blade to cut down  1/4 polycarbonate sheets.  You will need to reduce the saws speed to 4.

Thank you for the advice T. Ernsberger, it's good to know I need one of those for plexi projects.  I heard back from the client overnight and they have changed the material from plexi glass to 4'x'8 sheets of 3/16" cutting mats.

Do you think the 496309 would be appropriate for this type of material?  Sorry for the simple questions, I really appreciate the help!

It seems like that blade would still be the closest match for plastics. Definitely try at lower speeds first to avoid melting.

The real problem is going to be stopping the mats from healing themselves after you've cut them.
