What is a/the small(est) Festool vac that has or can be fitted with Bluetooth?

I am thinking of adding an extra vacuum to my shop. Mostly it will be hooked up to the Kapex 120, but I'll be taking it with me for DIY jobs in the house as well (that would be better than lugging the CTL26 around). However, I must admit that I am getting stuck in the range of possible products to choose from. So I'd like to ask you guys for your help. What I want is a small(ish) vac (i.e. portable) with the Bluetooth option that does not have to have enough oomph for anything more than dust. It won't be used to clean up shavings and such. I have an Oneida for that. I have looked at the CTL SYS, but I don't think that can be fitted with BT? Would the CT(L)15 be the next best choice? Which vac do my fellow FOGers think would be a good match for this?

The CT-Sys and CT15 can not be fitted with bluetooth, unless you're capable of doing your own hack. There are a few threads on this site from people who done it.

CT Mini & Midi have BT out of the Festool box. For the bigger CT 26, CT 36 and CT 48 you have to buy an additional module.

So the CT Mini is the smallest option, and fits perfectly with a Kapex.

Same as Alex^
I’ve the CT SYS, a Mini/Midi with bluetooth, and a CT 26 with BT module.
I use the CT SYS a lot, but the bag fills quite quickly.
I don’t miss BT that much on my use of the CT SYS, it’s a short hose and the vac itself is easy to place within short reach, and I use it for corded tools.

But, the mini/midi is the preferred to drag around, the bag holds up pretty well. I carry it in the stairs very easy moving floors frequently, that even with the optional handle attached. So yes, if I was to have only one, it would be the new mini/midi.

Thanks!

I already have the CTL26 and added the BT module later on. I really love that little add-on. For this 2nd vac it would be nice to have it too, because then I can place the vac behind the bench where the Kapex sits. That way I have to crawl over/under the bench only when I need the vac in the house, which really wouldn't be that often.

[member=71478]FestitaMakool[/member] : Thanks for that bit of information. I would have to carry it up a flight of stairs, so knowing that won't be a problem is great. I do that now with the CTL26, but it is a bit on the large side and I try not to damage the walls too much.

It seems the CT Mini it will be...

I use an IKEA Tradfi socket and switch for my CTL-SYS with the CTL turned on and set to Manual. Works a treat and cheap as chips.

Your welcome  [smile] It’s a great companion to any wanting a move about vac that does most things very good. Spare the handle though if not needed, it adds bulk and weight.
Comparing carrying the 26 and a mini/midi in stairs and through narrow places makes a huge difference. And it tucks under a Kapex well.

I’ve tried this, with IKEA Tradfri, but my voltage is 240V, is yours 120?
(May do some more tests.. hmm  [wink])

I prefer the MIDI, 50% more capacity, virtually the same weight and only $50 more.

Yes, and you can buy the whole tub as a spare from ie the mini - it comes complete with wheels and the whole lot for an easy swap between heights if the need being there.

I think the new MIDI and MINI both use the same bags, too, so that pushed me to get the MIDI.  I have an OG Mini and enough bags for it to last me quite a few years, and possibly a lifetime if I were to put the CT-VA 20 Cyclone on it.

Mine is a 240V CTL and a 240V mains supply.

I just took a look at my vendor's website. I see the difference is only 4 cm in height, which gives the MIDI about 5 litres more capacity with the same footprint and weight. The price difference over here is €40. Those 4 cm won't bother me when I carry this thing up the staircase. It might have in width or length, but not in height.

Thanks for pointing me in that direction.

Then put more powerfull bulb in it. The CT's need a certain minimum load taken from the socket before they react. I can charge my phone from the CT without it turning on..
