What is the expected condition of a recon tool?

Looks and sounds normal to me too! I wouldn’t get too caught up in comparing the Festool sanders to other sanders that you have used in the past as they are a bit of a different breed. They make so many different sanders and many of them look similar but they are not. This one only has a 2mm stroke so it is definitely a finish sander. Be patient and let the sander do the work. Don’t push down too hard, don’t squeeze the sander hard, just relax, keep it nice and flat to the work and relax. They just have a little different feel and their individual sanders are built more to be specialists than great at everything. That’s why they call it green koolaid.

I got my 3 piece recon bundle today.  Was shipped freight and was called asking if I had a forklift to unload the pallet at my home residence!  Was a bit of a surprise.  Luckily I live near work and have a truck dock to unload it there.  The domino df 500 has a broken height adjustment knob and missing the wrench and 5mm bit.  The ct 26 is missing the hose.  The mft table is what I expected and complete.

QC seems to be missing a few critical steps!  I hope to call them tomorrow and get everything resolved.  Just a bit disappointed.
