Which podcasts have good content about woodworking?

I prefer they be available via a podcast player such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Overcast, etc.

My small list is
  • The Three Splinters — nuggets of Festool tool tips from Sedge and his pals
  • Shop Talk Live by Fine Woodworking — love it when Mike Pekovich joins the crew
  • Woodshop Life Podcast — questions are answered by three guys with varying degrees of experiences

I don’t recall ever listening to a podcast.

Some have mentioned Sedges “stick”, well look at the name of his podcast. I’m sure it is a play on Three Stooges.

I like the Shop Talk Live podcast the most and will listen to Wood Talk, as well. The Lumber Industry Update is interesting but I find a bit of it to be over my head at times. I've tried listening to ShopNotes but I always find it difficult to groove with their style. Listened to the latest episode this week of Green Suiters, but it was mostly a complaint-fest.

I listen to a lot of the podcasts while driving, but I have come to enjoy listening to Tom McLaughlin's Epic Woodworking livestream replays on YouTube.

The nice thing about Shop Talk Live is that they're getting closer to 400 episodes, so there's a lot available to listen to.

One of my favourites - he shares his skills well and comes across as a really nice person.
I'd love to go and take one of his classes one day but sadly that's not going to happen any time soon :)
Tom is a highly skilled woodworker in both traditonal (hand tool) and power woodworking. His finished pieces were top quality.

However (and unfortunately) the majority of his videos made by himself are unbearably too long. Those of his videos professionally produced by Taunton/ Fine Woodworking are a different animal and a joy to watch.

Woodshop Life is my favorite, because they spend the entire podcast simply answering questions about woodworking.
So many other podcasts spend great amounts of time talking about their golf vacation, or telling jokes, or their new CNC...

But their website is a bit funky. At least the way I am seeing it. Does anybody else see it differently ? When I go to THEIR WEBSITE the podcasts stop updating with the May 30 episode. But if you scroll over to the right, you see a column of RECENT POSTS where you can find newer podcasts. Podcast Addict shows new episodes more clearly and allows you to download mp3's, but only goes back to episode 87.
I wish they would use Player FM --- almost every other podcast is on Player FM and I find the increasingly rare situation that their software all works.

I listen to podcasts while waking the dog for an hour in the morning, and again in the evening.

When doing DIY and Woodworking, music is the only thing blasting.
