I was watching a video earlier on the of 2200 and saw that there were a couple things needed for it to be used with a rail, namely the edge guide and a different baseplate.  Is there a different plate needed for the OF 1400 or do I just need the edge guide? Also, in some videos I notice the guide rail used with/without a set of clamps.  How well in place do the rails stay when not using said clamps, and would the be a definate pickup if using the rail with a router?  I figure if I were using the router for dadoes in case parts I might want to clamp it in place for accuracy.

You'll need guide stop 492601. Guide rods go with router, small support foot go with  guide stop. I strongly recommend you use clamps with router, because spinning momentum from router bit moves router in opposite direction. Don't forget to use support foot!
