hi there.
i have been wanting a dremel type rotary tool for a whil for those odd jobs that nothing else will do. jmbs multimaster idea is pushing me to get one.

iv looked at a few dremel ones and a few others. there are a lot of different ones out there.
ones with the moter in one and some with the motor seperate. the seperate motor ones seam stronger .
which is the best one out there.

what type of accesories are essential

iv seen a few little burrs and grinding stones in a local pneumatic shop , can these be used with one of these tools.

iv also got a small router (trend t3) that is designed for jobs like this but havent got any of the extra parts needed.

what route should i go

thanks in advance

The Dremels are the best. The others are always knock-offs that seem to want to go the cheap route.

thats what i thought about the portable ones but im not sure about the stationery ones. also with my trand t3 im even more confused

Foredom is probably the best if you're looking for a stationary unit, If looking for a handheld, I'd stick with Dremel. Unless you're really needing the portability, go with a corded model as the Li model doesn't have a lot of torque but is good for light use

I would go with the ones which come with the separate motor like mine you have a lot more control less weight to swing round all the time.  You can use the one I have with out the attachment as well having the motor one the end but I hardly ever do.  Its only handy if you need to Dremel something lets say a Alliminium door frame or something like that as a separate would then make it more awkward.

So get one with the best of both worlds so its more versatile.

If I was you I would get this one!

Two sets available in a bag and in a box you get different accessories with each one.

I wouldnt consider any other Dremel models!  Thats the one  [wink]

UNLESS your thinking cordless then it would have to be this one  BUT I dont know what the battery and torque is like!  The RPM isnt much slower than the corded version but its how well it holds up.
