Where do you get your wood?

I've build my machine and now I need wood to cut. Lowes has a very limited selection of hardwood to choose from. Not sure where to look for more options here in southern Ohio.

I am in Columbus Ohio.  I use Sommers Wood & door, P&W Millworks, Frank Paxton Lumber and so many others.  All 3 that I have listed sell and stock a lot of different species in 4/4, 8/4 as well as many different sizes. They can get anything for you in short lead times. They also have their own milling department so that can provide any thickness, wide and length. Plain it, joint it, sand too.  They can do glue ups for you as well.  These companys also specialize in other areas as well such as Sommers, they make raised panel doors and such.  If you tell me where you live I can probly find someone closer to you.  Ohio has a lot of good mills.

I'm a hobby woodworker and have lots more time than money (and enjoy the hunt).  I joined a regional online woodworking club and participate in group lumber buys from industrial auctions and large plunderings.  Through this group established a relationship with a few small sawyer/kiln operators. I'm sure you have a local woodworking club or guild.  Check at your woodworking retailer.  Woodweb has a search function for local sawyers.  I constantly monitor the Materials section of the local Craigslist.org.  Rarely go to the retail woodworking/hardwood lumber outlets (Woodcraft, Wurth, Cabinent/Door suppliers, etc) but they have primo stock and deserve the prices they charge.  If you have one, go by the local Habitat for Humanity RESTORE.  I am constantly amazed at what I find at mine.  3/4" Baltic Birch offcuts for $2 for a 1/2 sheet! Yahoo!
