Which speed for 493838 Premium Sheepskin when polish ?

I bought 493838 Premium Sheepskin today to polish granite. The festool rep. told me to use sheepskin and MPA 5000 but now the sheepskin comes off when I turn on my rotex 150.

I think I used wrong speed  [unsure]

Not sure why it's flying off, but generally polishing is at lower speeds to reduce heat build up. For granite, that shouldn't matter so I would think any speed would be suitable.

Just a note, but there is a polishing pad for the Rotex. But that shouldn't be why the sheepskin is falling off.

If you use the Rotex in rotating (coarse) mode, which you need for polishing , then the rpm is merely 660. Which is very slow, even for polishing. But the sheepskin should never fly off the Rotex no matter which mode or speed you use.

If your sheepskin flies off it might have a flaw or you didn't put it on in the proper way. The hook and loop of your pad could also be worn.

I'm gonna take the sheepskin and the pad to the store and try to see if they know what's wrong

I was at the store and talkt to the sales rep. And he suggested that I use 485970 instead .

Then I talked to festool service center and  3 festool rep. and me had a good talk about polishing.

Got some free sheepskin to test
