Hi I'm taking the 'plunge' (ha ha) for getting a Festool Ts55 tracksaw. This will be my first Festool product and I'm very excited.

Why is this model of TS55 cheaper on ebay sold by FFX? The part number is different for other TS55 models.

Part Number  561583
£446

Part Number 561553
£399

The ebay deal has a special offer code of extra 10% off before 15th June which makes the cheaper model at a bargain price of £333 for a TS55.

Is there any noticeable difference between the two?

The cheaper one lacks the guide rail, which is necessary.

Thankyou Alex, thats makes sense. No guide rail.

I bought the cheaper model from the same retailer on their ebay outlet shop which described it as including a guide rail for £370 minus 10% special discount = £333.

Maybe they got their ebay description wrong on the product? I will see what happens when delivery arrives tomorrow and see if guide rail is included.

Actually I just checked my Ebay sales purchase and Paypal account. I have paid £333 for the more expensive model.
I'm confused - I thought I bought the cheaper model without guide rail even though description says inc guide rail.

Hopefully I got the complete kit, I will report back in a few days.

Received my packaga today. The guide rail was included in the price with the TS55 tracksaw. I think they must have priced it too low as its no longer available when I checked back yesterday. Happy indeed  :)
