We announced our TS Success Stories giveaway earlier this month and have received some great stories from our SysNotes readers. We wanted to remind you about this great opportunity to win some free Festool goodies. So, here's your opportunity to win a free Parallel Guide Set (P00108, $325 value) or an exclusive free Rack Systainer!

Much of Festool?s success can be attributed to the efficiencies created by our tools, and it seems that everyone has a favorite experience or application where their Festool tool really shines.  With this in mind, we?d like to hear your story, specifically as it relates to the TS 55 or TS 75 Plunge cut saw.  Tell us how you use your saw to create a more efficient workflow, in the shop or on the jobsite.  We plan to share the best of these with all our other customers, so that everyone has the advantage of your great experience.

Here are the kinds of things we?d like to know:

    * What is your application and material?
    * How did you accomplish this task before, or was it even possible without using the TS plunge cut saw?
    * How much time do you save with the TS plunge cut saw?
    * How much material, or money did you save with the Festool TS plunge cut saw?
    * How did the TS plunge cut saw give you better results?
    * Why was the TS plunge cut saw the best solution for your application?

We?d love to see photographs of your project, and don?t hesitate to give us the details, so that others can replicate your application in their own shop.

The success stories we receive will be judged by a panel of Festool employees to determine which best exemplifies our philosophy of working faster, easier and smarter. The person who writes the best success story will receive a free Parallel Guide Set (P00108). But that's not your only opportunity to walk away with a prize. From the remaining entrants, we will randomly select a winner to receive an exclusive free Rack Systainer which is not currently available in North America (see photo). To enter, simply email your story along with photos to success@festoolusa.com before the entry deadline on June 30th, 2009. *

We look forward to seeing the creative ways that you are using our products to overcome your challenges!

I know this contest is over but I thought this should be known anyway.
The curved humidor project I've been on has put my TS-75 to great use. For one, I needed to cut the styles on both sides of the face and ends. Thes cuts had to be perfectly straight. To do this on a table saw is impossible(I know because I tried) Holding a curved face and maintaining the angle w/o causing a burn or gouge just couldn't be done. This is where my TS-75 came in. I clamped the guide rail to the face frame, set the angle and made the cut. No burn, no variable in the angle, no problem what so ever. Another bonus is that I was able to make the cut after I finished the wood. Because the wood doesn't move across the saw, there are no scratches due to passing the wood over a table saw. Just clamp, set and cut. Then all I had to do was domino the legs to the styles. No gaps or incorrect cuts to worry about. Another point I would like to make is that had I tried to cut this on the tablesaw right to the line the first time, I would have cost myself the curved laminated rails, the styles and more importantly, 2 weeks worth of work. I needed to know that the saw I was going to make this cut with would get it right the first time without fail. My TS75 didn't let me down. [big grin]

BTW it was also used to cut my 10/4 Bubinga to size. The riving knife feature and the zero tollerance feature made it a breeze. I tried to rip the 10/4 on the table saw and I thought I was going to kill it. It started smoking like a wild fire.
